https://runsignup.com/Race/AZ/Phoenix/ZealRelays What we have done is taken a 5K road race (6K, actually) and throw it on a regulation 400-meter track and then divided the 6K distance into 3 distinct relay races. Teams of 2, 3 and 4 people (all-male, all-female and coed teams) will compete in these 3 different relays. There will be age group as well as overall winners. And while we are serious of having good competitive events (we have sweet swag for registrants and good prizes for our winning teams), you don’t need to have ever run track before to compete in this race. We don’t allow running spikes, cleats or starting blocks - and you don’t need to stay in your own lane throughout the races either. What you’ll need to do though is have a great attitude (who likes negativity anyway? I know we certainly do not) and a fanciful nature (we have prizes for best team uniform, team name and team baton). And even if you’re not the fastest team out there, we even have a prize for the team who gets closest to a set time without going over... I know! How awesome is that!? Why is a event like this a good...dare we say... great idea?
